I have seen suggestions all over the board concerning the actions used to produce the best ROI. I have seen each action discussed but not comparatively.

Which action, that you use, produces the best ROI?

Is it B2B face to face?

Cold call telemarketing?

Do you purchase targeted lists?

Do you use a dialer or telemarketer?

Are your leads exclusive, shared, live transfer leads?

Do you use direct mail, email, drip mail, post cards?

Do you market a specific area?

New agent with question about high deductible, HSA insurance.

I have several prospects that need low cost medical insurance which of course means a high deductible policy. Is it ethical to sell this type of policy knowing they can't afford a $5,000 deductible even with an HSA? The last thing I want to do is mislead people but I also don't want to see them completely out in the cold.

Secured Credit Card Question

This is probably a stupid question, but I'm no expert on credit.

However, would be possible if I were to open a secured credit card by applying at a Wells Fargo with an initial deposit of say $5000 and after receiving the card in the mail, withdraw my initial $5000 deposit?

Any advice is appreciated.

Up to now I have always been "involved" in my real estate, whether it is maintaining it, managing it, and so on. Now I would like to broaden my horizons and I am thinking of building a commercial/industrial building in another province. Does anyone know anything about hiring a property management company or realtor to manage it? I will not be able to be as "involved" maybe just finding the location/building and visiting the town once a year. Are there any downfalls for putting ...

I'm considering buying a multi-family property with approximately 100 doors. The NOI, based on the forecast provided by the on-site management (extrapolated from previous years), is $220K, though this is after $60K in management overhead has been subtracted. (I don't want to get into due diligence on the accuracy of the figures; please take them as true for the purposes of my query. Grin)

I'm buying the property primarily for anticipated appreciation, and whilst the cash flow is ...

I work with hundreds of insurance buyers a year.

A common complaint is, "I only hear from my agent when he sends a bill."

Call your best clients. Tell them you were thinking about them. Ask how they are doing. Ask how you can help? Offer to buy them a cup of coffee and to spend a few minutes reviewing their insurance so you can be sure things are set up right based on current conditions.

Send clients newspaper articles you think might interest them. Send them a link to ...

I hope to get advice from people who have already been in my shoes. My partner and I run a small company in S.Ca. We are completely different people and went to business not even knowing each other well. My partner is a great guy, but he is not a good agent, doesn't know coverages well, and doesn't really care about self improvement. I, on the other hand, do all the quoting, marketing, business development and part of the service. However, my partner used to bring in more business. All in all ...

We like to make the transition easier, and so we have got a deal with HSBC, one of the leading and most reliable banks, where we can 'fast-track' our teacher's applications. What HSBC offer through us is a BASIC account, with no overdraft, but that is enabled for direct credit and debit, which means you can get PAID!!!

What is a National Insurance Number?

A National Insurance (NI) Number is a personal number allocated to you which should be used in all your dealings with HM Revenue & Customs or the Department for Work and Pensions.

The number is unique to you and ensures that the government correctly credits and records contributions you are entitled to or have paid to your NI account.

NI goes towards the UK social security and state pension system, so you will need these NI credits when you come ...

What is a National Insurance Number?

All residents of the United Kingdom must apply for a National

Insurance number.

This number is similar to a:

Tax File number in Australia

The IRD number in New Zealand

The Social Insurance number in Canada

The Social Security number in the USA and the

Identification number in South Africa.

It is used as a unique reference/account number by the Inland Revenue, and by medical

practitioners when you are seeking any form of medical attention.
